How to Draw

Yes, you can draw – and we’ll show you how.
Drawing doesn’t have to be scary, complicated, or perfect. Our how-to-draw books break things down into fun, friendly steps that anyone can follow. No fancy tools, no art degree required – just a pencil, some paper, and a willingness to try.
We create guides that are clear, beginner-friendly, and great for kids, adults, and anyone in between. Each page walks you through the process from simple shapes to finished drawing, with plenty of space to practice and play. Drawing should be fun, not frustrating – and we’re here to make sure it stays that way.

My name is Deborah Braithwaite, and drawing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always sketching, studying shapes, and trying to capture the character of the animals and people around me.

Over the years, that early curiosity grew into a lifelong love for art. I now create, teach, and share what I have learned with others who want to build confidence in their own drawing skills. For me, art is not about perfection. It is about observing, practicing, and finding joy in the process.

Through my work, I hope to encourage others to pick up a pencil, trust their eye, and discover how much they are capable of creating.
